The Daddy of ‘Em All is In the Books plus Utah’s Major Rodeo Weekend

Hear brand new country music from up and coming artists!

As July comes to a close, so do some of the summer run’s largest and most-anticipated rodeos. This year’s Cheyenne Frontier Days, infamously known to rodeo enthusiasts as the “Daddy of ‘Em All,” featured a $1 million payout paid out over nine days of tournament style competition.

Located in a city just as infamous for wild west showdowns, Deadwood, South Dakota’s Days of ’76 lived up to its western heritage and awarded nearly $300,000. In Utah, three major rodeos were held including Ogden’s Pioneer Days, Spanish Fork’s Fiesta Days and Salt Lake City’s Days of ’47 where winners are awarded checks as well as Olympic-style medals.

As the summer run continues, we’ll bring you the highlights of the previous week’s events, keeping you updated on the shuffle in standings and who brings the heat to summer’s biggest rodeos.

Bull Riding: T.J. Gray – 90 points on Smith Pro Rodeos’, No Doze

With a pair of 90-point rides winning the roughstock events so far in the Final round at Cheyenne, it only makes sense a 90-point ride should win the Bull Riding as well. Oregon’s T.J.
